Bruce has directed technical development for Quantitrader.com. Together, he and Jane have created, optimized, and tested the various trading systems that are offered to our members. He has also automated the processes that produce daily updates, and ensure business continuity.
Bruce has a background of over 25 years of experience in leading software development organizations. His background includes systems and applications development for two major PC manufacturers, real-time systems development, client-server systems, and web development. Upon leaving Compaq/HP as Director of Advanced Technology, he leveraged his interest in investing and trading systems and has spent 12+ years as a trading systems developer, consultant, writer, and lecturer. In that effort, he became well-known in the tight-knit group of users of the popular technical analysis package, Amibroker, that is utilized by Quantitrader, and is credited with advancing the state of the art in several aspects of trading system development.
Bruce actively trades stocks and ETF’s but has also traded options and futures. He first caught the trading and investing bug while completing an MBA at the University of Dallas. His prior educational background was a BSE in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Duke University.
Bruce currently resides in The Woodlands, which is north of Houston, Texas with his wife and their three dogs and one cat. He has two daughters, who graduated from rival universities in Texas and have begun their own careers – one as a critical care nurse, and the other as a software engineer.
